Full-Time: Licensed Veterinary Technician
Mountain View Veterinary Services is a privately owned mixed animal practice. We are dedicated to animal health and inspired by compassionate care. We are looking for a new member to join our fun-loving team in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania! We need a hard working, dedicated, and empathetic individual to fulfill a full time Licensed Veterinary Technician position.
Our veterinarians rely on the care team and they understand the expertise and skills a licensed technician brings to the table. Here your skills are appreciated and will be utilized to their maximum potential. Job responsibilities include: appointment, surgical, and hospitalized patient care. We also trust our staff to communicate with clients and team members to provide quality compassionate care to our patients. We have an in-house laboratory and you will perform procedures including: CBC/Chemistry profiles, cytological preparation and review, as well as fecal and urine analyses.
Our team enjoys a good work-life balance. Full-time employees are scheduled 35-40 hours per week with a lunch break! On-call duties are rotated evenly between members of the care team trained in surgical monitoring – typically one night a week, and one weekend per month. On-call technicians receive a flat fee for time on call as well as additional pay for coming in for emergencies. Our competitive hourly wage starts at $17.00/hr. An increased hourly wage will be considered based on experience and skills. Benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance options, retirement option after 1 year of employment, paid holidays including your birthday, a quarterly uniform allowance, phone stipend, personal pet allowance, and paid time off.
We also believe in the advancement of veterinary medicine, and want you to have the skills to thrive in this profession long term. We provide semi-frequent lunch and learns, as well as a CE stipend. We will also cover the cost of your licensing.
